We are normal, tired, stressed, too busy parents of three beautiful children.

Each other (Love - yes; Like - most days lol)
Our children (even when they drive us crazy...)

I am not a traditionally trained preacher, teacher or writer. I have always dreamed of preaching and a few years ago I got the opportunity to give it a go at our local church. To the credit of those present, no tomatoes were thrown (full disclosure, I had my wife check bags at the door for rotten fruit and eggs... :).
Since then I have had many opportunities to preach what I feel God has put on my heart. I have tried different styles of preaching and a few things have become clear:

I am not a preacher nor am I called to be a preacher

I believe God has called me to write first, and if I do preach, to preach from my writing

I am not theologically trained but thankful to my parents for:

Grounding me in God's Word as I grew up

Giving me basic and useful Bible Study Skills

Not only teaching me to think for myself but expecting me to

Teaching me the basics of creative writing

Instilling in me that a good book was always better than a movie or computer game

I have made many messes in life but God is gracious

I do not feel very smart most days but enjoy learning and am pursuing Wisdom
If it wasn't for my wife, Kyla, I would be lost, broke and miserable :) Thank you honey for not only sharing this dance called life with me but believing in me, supporting me and expecting me to forgive myself and believe in myself. I love you.
In these pages I hope you will be challenged in your journey with or toward the Father, my Savior, Jesus Christ in whom I live and move and have my very being. Without Him I am nothing.
